Zeehan Bush Camp- Glamping and Cabins

Tarkine & West Coast, TAS
The Story

On the edge of Zeehan, on Tasmania's remote west coast, a former caravan park has been remade as a glamping and cabin site in a bush valley beside a creek. Tents come with private firepits, cabins are self-contained, and a communal lounge keeps a wood fire for the cool nights the coast is known for. The grounds back onto wetland where pademelons, wombats and possums appear, and the town centre is a few minutes' walk away. Zeehan is old mining country, a base for the Gordon River, Strahan and the surrounding wilderness, and the camp is one of the few places of its kind on this stretch of coast. Owner-run since 2015, it suits travellers exploring the west without wanting to camp rough.
