The Tamborine

A 1978 hacienda-style motel on Tamborine Mountain's escarpment, bought by Comuna Collective in 2023 and reopened in 2024 after a full gut renovation. The bones stayed; everything else changed. Continental breakfast included, views to the horizon from every room, and a heated pool at the edge of the mountain. An hour from Brisbane, half an hour from the Gold Coast, and considerably further from both in spirit.
