The Old Convent

The Sisters of St Joseph taught at Largs from 1893 until the school next door closed in 1968 and they were recalled to Lochinvar. Beck and Tony Croese got the house after she stopped to tell the owner how beautiful it was and the owner said she could buy it, having only just signed the papers to sell. The bedrooms were the parlour, the prayer room, the oratory and the dormitory.
