The Boutique Hotel Blue Mountains

Built by newspaper editor Robert Moss in 1892 — after the original 1891 structure burnt down — this Blackheath guesthouse has moved through an unlikely succession of custodians: railway workers, Baptist congregations, English parsons who renamed it St Mounts. That layered history gives the place its character. At 1,000 metres above sea level, it sits at the highest point of the Blue Mountains, backed by World Heritage national park.
