Tallowwood House

A short walk from Shelly Beach in Port Macquarie, this hosted bed and breakfast sits behind a screen of rainforest, adults-only and deliberately quiet. There are two suites — Driftwood, which takes dogs, and Tallowwood, which does not — each spacious and opening onto a tropical garden courtyard, one with a concrete bath set among the greenery. Owner Mandy Rowe prepares a healthy breakfast each morning, and beaches and bush trails are within walking reach.
