Lake Purrumbete Cottages

Three cottages on the shore of Lake Purrumbete, none of them built where they stand. Hose's was the police station at Merino. Orchard was the shearers' quarters off a station near Penshurst, over a century old. Pelican housed the manager of the Camperdown saleyards. Lois Dupleix runs the lot, and the café down the track. The lake holds trout, chinook salmon and redfin, all year.
