Kimo Estate - Fergo's Hut

On a working farm near Gundagai — Kimo Estate has been grazed since 1832 and opened to guests in 2014 — Fergo's Hut is an off-grid A-frame set high on a hill above the Murrumbidgee. It's one of a handful of huts scattered across the property for the outlook, each pared back to a bed, a view and, in Fergo's case, a private wood-fired hot tub on the deck. Days here are about the country itself: paddocks and river flats rolling to the horizon, and the sort of dark, quiet nights a farm this size makes possible.
