Four self-drive houseboats work the Murray from a private mooring at Moama, on the New South Wales bank opposite Echuca. Each is licensed for up to twelve guests and comes with a top-deck spa, air conditioning and gas heating, a full kitchen with dishwasher, smart TVs and WiFi. No boat licence is required, a car licence and a handover are enough to set out across roughly eighty kilometres of river between the Echuca bridge and Torrumbarry Weir.
