Daintree Deep Forest Lodge

A cassowary walks his territory past the lodges daily, sometimes with a chick behind him. That is the pitch, and it beats a pool. Laurie and Marie Fitzgerald have three self-contained units in the rainforest at Diwan, two studios sleeping three and a family apartment sleeping five, all set up for self-catering. The bird list for the area runs to 150 species.
