Built in 1885 as a private residence, Closeburn House occupies Mount Victoria's western slope, overlooking the transition from Blue Mountains plateau to the Grose Valley wilderness below. The ten-room house operates as an adults-only guesthouse. Bedrooms are modest, with views toward the escarpment. Breakfast includes locally sourced fruit and eggs; guests can walk directly onto the surrounding World Heritage-listed bushland—native eucalypt forest and cliff country typical of the western Blue Mountains edge. The nearest town of any size, Katoomba, sits 15km east.
