Three villas by Queensland architect Norman Richards, walled on two sides in three-metre glass so that Mt Beerwah and Mt Coonowrin — the two biggest of the Glasshouse Mountains — sit in the room with you. Ninety square metres each, on 25 acres six kilometres out of the township, with kangaroos on the grass and black cockatoos overhead. Breakfast is delivered from the café on site. One king bed per villa; it's built for two.

The resort trades on its position more than its polish: walking tracks to the falls begin nearby, and the rainforest setting is the point.
